Palm Trees and Cedars
Palm Trees and Cedars is a 501(c)(3) Christian charitable organization with the stated purposes of, including but not limited to, inspiring, educating, equipping, and providing support to individuals and surrounding communities.
Our main mission events are branded as T.E.A. [Talk - Empower - Anew]. The purpose of these T.E.A. events is to provide a sociable but structured way to engage in discussions while building relationships. They are designed to be life-inspiring and empowering sessions centered around contemporary topics of relevance to society and that primarily impact women.
Rather than debating or attempts to convince or persuade, we share our spiritual and biblical perspective without explicitly proselytizing. We share, learn, are curious, are courteous and respectful, while being mindful that we are imitators of Jesus Christ in all settings.
Some Facts about Palm and Cedar Trees
The Palm Tree is a symbol of eternal life, especially when growing beside a stream (ref. John 7:37-39). The palm fronds are part of the symbolic ritual that commemorates Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The palm tree is considered resilient and authentic because of what is found on the outside of the palm tree is also the same as what is found on the inside of the tree.
The Cedar Tree plays a significant role in ancient culture. The Lebanon cedar is frequently mentioned in the Bible and was used to build King Solomon's Temple and to seal David's house. Known for its longevity and resistance to decay, the cedar tree is a symbol of greatness, nobility, strength, and virtue.
